  1. A lot of it is also lack of exercise and proper stretching. Throwing alone isnt enough to strengthen your arm to provide longevity and durability. Also form too. If your dropping your elbow below your shoulder, please stop now.

  2. I tore my labrum as a freshman in high school and am still playing at the d1 level in college. As a biomedical engineering premed, this fascinates me and I actually considered buying one. The 2 problems are the price and lack of any real data supporting it. You’ll see lots of “testimonials” online, but minimal, if any, real medical data supporting it. At the price point it’s at, it has to have objective data backing it up. I had a teammate as a freshman in college who had one and he said “it makes a difference, but it’s not a miracle”. He missed his final season to shoulder pain.

  3. Is that not likely to result in pitchers merely throwing faster and maintaining the same level of strain? It doesn't prevent them from throwing as hard as they can. It merely aids them in throwing as hard as they could without it with less muscle stress.

  4. I think the problem is that everybody’s throwing motion is different, even if slight. If I remember right Trevor Bauer tried this out in one of his videos and he said that while it may help some people’s throwing motion it restricted his motion when he was throwing with it.

  5. I developed the same problem with my shoulder working in the automotive industry. Actually put micro tears into my rotator cuff muscles so I feel this would even help in my field for my injury. It actually caused me to cut my mechanic career short because of it but I feel if I had that sleeve on, I could have kept going

  6. This would be great for rehabbing a shoulder or elbow to return to overhead athletics.

But certainly not for every day wear, or to use while regular training. That’s just gonna lead to even more risk of soft-tissue injury.
